Caswell & Dianna Etheredge

Caswell Etheredge was born 10 May 1799 in North Carolina, and died 28 April 1861 in Butts County, Georgia.   He married Dianna M. Bond in February of 1829 in Butts County.  Dianna was the daughter of Edward Bond and Susannah Dooly.

Notes on Caswell Etherege

During the 1820s, Caswell sold land in drawn in the 1821 Georgia Land Lottery1820's in Monroe County.  He was a resident of Warren County at the time.

5 October 1829 ~~ Bought 130 acres of land in Butts County on the west side of the Macon Road (Land Lot 195, First District) from James Barkley for $500.

15 November, 1834 ~~ Sold Gustavus Hendrick 130 acres of land in Butts County (Land Lot 195, First District) for $600.  This parcel was west of the road leading from Hendrick's mill to Macon.

Notes on Dianna M. Bond

Dianna was the daughter of Edward Bond, Jr. and Susannah Dooly.  She was the granddaughter of Edward Bond, Sr. and wife, Judy, of Lincoln County, Georgia and of Col. John Dooly and Dianna of Wilkes County, Georgia.  Col. John Dooly was known for the Battle of Kettle Creek in Wilkes County during the Revolutionary War.

Caswell and Dianna are buried in the Etheredge Family cemetery in Butts County, Georgia.
