William "Bill" Cochran (1830 ~ Aug 18, 1894) and his wife, Nancy A. Foster (1832 ~ 1901). William and Nancy were married July 25, 1852. They were the parents of: Sara A.C. Cochran (born 1853, married Robert E. Hatcher); William Banister 'Bud' Cochran (married Madora Lavinia Johnson ); Anne E. "Mack" Cochran (married McDougal); Mary S. J. "Molly" Cochran (married Malone); John Thomas Cochran (married McKinley); Nancy A. "Honey"Cochran (married John H. Cochran); Jesse Franklin "Tug" Cochran (married Elizabeth Folds); Georgia '"Dolly" Cochran (married Albert Sidney Crawford); James D. "Peter" Cochran (married Frances 'Doll" Cochran); George W. Cochran (married first Elizabeth Thornton, second Ella Wilder Goddard); and Walter J. Cochran (married Alice P. Moon). William Cochran was a Private in Company I , "The Jeff Davis Rifles" of the 53rd Regiment Georgia Volunteer Infantry, Army of Northern Virginia, CSA.
