Pictured is Zebbie Lomus Chancellor, Sr. He was born near Moran in Crawford County on June 8, 1886, and worked for the Southern Railway as a telegraph operator. His first job was in Juliette, Georgia and then they moved to Sandy about 1922. He worked at the block office there until 1930 when they moved to Yatesville, Georgia. Their house was just a short distance from the office. They later moved back to Juliette after about ten years. Also pictured are Reavis Floyd Chancellor (born in Sandy August 7, 1922) and James Rogers Chancellor (born in Juliette July 1, 1920). Reavis now lives in Charleston, South Carolina. James passed away in Macon in 1987. The automobile is a 1923 Chevrolet, Mr. Chancellor's first car, which he bought in Jackson.
